These Bulldogs must arrive on campus as soon as possible.While Georgia supporters await their first game on January 1, they may watch future Bulldogs fight for a high school State Championship as Georgia football prepares for the start of their postseason run in the College Football Playoff. On the opening day of the Georgia Bulldogs, one Bulldog signee has had a fantastic game. In the State Championship game, two Bulldogs explode. Both wide receiver CJ Wiley and tight end Ethan Barbour, who were teammates in high school, have signed and will shortly join the Georgia football program. However, they have to play their State Championship game on Tuesday before they relocate to Athens and start practicing with UGA. And on their way to winning the State Championship, these two Bulldogs played one of their best games of high school.In Milton’s resounding victory in the State Championship on Tuesday, Barbour and Wiley combined for 13 receptions, 197 yards, and two scores. Particularly in the most important and contested game of their high school careers, this performance is as dominant as it gets. Wiley and Barbour will both be joining
Both Barbour and Wiley will be joining Georgia’s bowl practices very soon, which is extremely exciting for Georgia fans. Obviously neither player will be able to play in the CFP this year, but this extra practice will be huge for their development and put them in the best position possible to contribute next fall.
And hopefully that is exactly what happens because Georgia could really use some help in the passing game next season after their struggles this year. However, Georgia fans probably shouldn’t expect huge seasons for them next year, becuase that should never be expected for any true freshman, but their presence in the locker room and on the depth chart will be huge because both players will be able to contribute next season if needed.
