The 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl is set to kick off on Tuesday, January 28th at 10:30 Eastern Time in Mobile, Alabama. Over 100 of the top 2025 NFL Draftprospects are set to face off, and test their abilities in front of NFL scouts across the league. It is the biggest pre draft All-Star game, and NFL decision makers are going to be putting these figure stars under the microscope.
Of all the talented players who will be in Mobile, it will include four Notre Damestandouts. Quarterback Riley Leonard, linebacker Jack Kiser, defensive end RJ Oben, and safety Xavier Watts were all selected to be a part of the event. Here is what each of them have on the line heading into the week.
QB Riley Leonard
It’s a very lackluster quarterback class in general in 2025, and that is especially true for the group heading to the Senior Bowl. Leonard has a chance to really impress all of the scouts on site. Most already know that Leonard is a tremendous athlete, and an overall good person. Can he impress enough with his throwing ability? That is the big question. If Leonard can show progress in that area, especially while working with a brand new wide receiver corp, he has a chance to rise.
LB Jack Kiser
Kiser had been a consistent member of the Notre Dame defense for several years now. He saved his best campaign for last, leading the team with 90 total tackles, as well as five tackles for loss and two sacks. While Kiser will not blow anyone away in terms of size, he is a very smooth athlete. He should hopefully stand out with his movement skills in front of the NFL scouts.
EDGE RJ Oben
It was a season to forget for Oben, who recorded just two tackles for loss and a sack for the Irish this fall. The former Duke standout was well liked by a host of NFL scouts going into the year, but that luster has worn off big time. Having a big week on Mobile is a massive opportunity. He has NFL bloodlines with his father Roman Oben, but will need to flash in order to legitimately garner attention.
S Xavier Watts
Unfortunately due to the long season, Watts is not expected to participate in the Senior Bowl. The ballhawk ended his Notre Dame career with 13 interceptions and 18 pass breakups. Not many people have questions about Watts’ ability as a playmaker on the back end. You could argue that Watts had more to lose down in Mobile. Getting healthy and ready for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is key.
