• The Georgia women’s basketball team concluded its season with a 70-52 loss to No. 10 Oklahoma in the second round of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Tournament on March 6, 2025.

Oklahoma’s Raegan Beers led all scorers with 22 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Teammates Liz Scott and Zya Vann contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively. For Georgia, Trinity Turner scored 12 points, Roxane Makolo added 11, and De’Maury Flournoy finished with 10.

 

The Sooners established a 36-29 halftime lead and solidified their advantage by outscoring the Bulldogs 15-7 in the third quarter. Oklahoma’s efficient ball movement was evident, as they recorded 27 assists on 29 field goals.

 

This victory marked Oklahoma’s eighth consecutive win, propelling them into a quarterfinal matchup against No. 12-ranked and fourth-seeded Kentucky.
