The top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners softball team (22-0) is set to face the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (11-12) on Wednesday, March 12, at 5 p.m. in Tulsa. This midweek matchup serves as a preparatory game before their upcoming series against No. 12 Arkansas.
Head coach Patty Gasso emphasized the importance of this game, stating, “We are coming in ready to go. We are using it as one last preparation for Arkansas.”
The Sooners previously defeated Tulsa 8-0 in five innings on February 22, marking their 50th win in 60 meetings against the Golden Hurricane.
Following the Tulsa game, Oklahoma will travel to Fayetteville for a weekend series against Arkansas, where they’ll face a familiar opponent: assistant coach DJ Gasso, son of OU’s head coach Patty Gasso.
