Louisville football former stud cornerback seems to most likely be on the move, as Jaire Alexander reportedly has been in trade conversations, per Ian Rapoport.
Alexander is a two-time pro bowler, and a former first-round pick, as he was drafted back in 2018 by the Green Bay Packers as the 18th overall pick. Last season the Packers former All-pro was limited to just seven games after being placed on IR after his PCL surgery in early January.
Last season, Alexander was the Packers No. 1 corner and helped guide Packers before his injury to be one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Packers allowed just 19.6 points per game before his injury, which was sixth-fewest in the league. Alexander brought in two interceptions, and helped Green Bay have 29 takeaways, which ranked top four in the nation.

Jaire Alexander is one of the best lockdown corners in the league, but Packers GM,Brian Gutekunst, seems to not be 100% committed to their shutdown corner. Alexander has only played in 14 games in the last two seasons, and has two years left on his current contract.
The 5’10 196-pound lockdown corner ended his 2024-2025 season with 15 solo tackles and seven pass deflections, and two interceptions, including one that was a 35-yard pick-six.
Jaire Alexander in his seven year career has a total of 287 tackles, 240 of them are solo, 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and 12 interceptions. His best season came in his All-Pro season where he recorded 56 total tackles, 43 solo, five interceptions and 14 pass deflections. His other pro-bowl season was back in 2020, which highlighted 51 tackles, and 13 pass deflections.
While at Louisville he had a total of 77 tackles, 58 were solo, seven interceptions, and 15 pass deflections. His 2016 season put him on the NFL radar, where he recorded 39 total tackles, five interceptions, nine pass deflections, and one forced fumble.
He earned All-ACC Second Team, as his five interceptions in his sophomore campaign was the second-most in the conference.
Alexander is expected to make $17.5 million in 2025 and $19.5 million in 2026, but none of it is guaranteed.
