Currently, the only punter on the Bills’ roster is Jake Camarda, who signed a reserves/futures contract earlier this year. With limited punting prospects available in the upcoming draft, the team is expected to bring in multiple players to compete during training camp. This roster change follows the firing of special teams coordinator Matthew Smiley, indicating significant shifts in the Bills’ special teams unit.
Martin’s release comes just days before the start of NFL free agency on March 12, 2025, a period during which the Bills are also working to retain key players like running back James Cook and cornerback Christian Benford. The team is currently managing a salary cap deficit as they prepare for the new league year.
